Update: Renovation complete, new physiotherapist and more!

There have been exciting changes here at The Sports and Spinal Clinic over the summer holiday period. We have completed our renovations and have created a brand new rehab gym space and reception area. In January 2019, the Sports and Spinal team welcomed a new physiotherapist to our team – Shreya Dogra. She will be consulting Monday, Thursday and Fridays and every second Saturday morning.

Nicola has started to integrate yoga into her Aquatic physiotherapy sessions and will soon be running an AquaYoga class on a Tuesday morning. We have expanded the hydrotherapy sessions to include a Tuesday and Friday morning. Nicola continues to offer a wholistic approach to physiotherapy, with her background in Therapeutic Yoga and Mindfulness for persistent pain.

We continue to accept and bulk bill Medicare patients within business hours and Saturday mornings. Our experienced physiotherapists can see all ranges of chronic disease management patients through these referrals, from osteoarthritis, diabetes management, muscle and joint pain, general de-conditioning and age related problems, to acute presentations in patients with a chronic or ongoing illness.

Cameron continues to research and develop his interest in Strength and Conditioning in people with pain and injuries. He is exploring different mediums of mindfulness and meditation for pain management and strives to integrate this into his own professional and personal life. Both Nicola and Cameron enjoy being first contact practitioners for acute musculoskeletal presentations and will liaise closely with medical staff and GP’s to get an accurate diagnosis and plan for treatment.
